Welcome!
Welcome students and families to a new school year. I hope you are all safe and well. I am Mr. Bonnell (Mr. B) your 6th grade science teacher. It is my mission to guide you in the amazing world of science that surrounds us and affects our lives each day. Please come to class ready to learn and with an open mind. It is my hope that you will discover things here that will have a life changing impact.
Since I am meeting many of you for the first time, I thought I would share some of my background with you. This is my 12th year teaching at SLA. Science has always been my favorite subject. Prior to teaching, I was a Ford technician for 27 years. My wife and I moved to Florida in 1983 from New Jersey (that makes us semi-native). Sometimes I even say “yawl” which sounds kind of weird with a Jersey accent. Florida has been a great place to live and raise a family. Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, canoeing, and kayaking.
